LETG celebrated it's 40th year of trading in the training industry on 27th June by holding an Employer Engagement Day at its site in Leicester.
LETG was established in 1967 as a Group Training Association to provide high quality training to the engineering sector in Leicestershire.
Over the past 7 years, having seen the engineering industry rise and fall, LETG diversed into a whole new range of occupational areas to attract new business to its doors.Now fully established in the market place as a leading provider of Apprenticeships in Leicestershire, LETG has been awarded an additional contract to provide Apprenticeships and NVQs to businesses in Northamptonshire. Loake Brothers are manufacturers of high quality hand made mens shoes in Northamptonshire. Established in 1880 by three brothers, they remain as passionate today about their quality and craftmanship as they have always been.
To continue maintaining their high standards of excellence, 20 of their staff have been signed on to the new Train to Gain NVQ programme, funded by the Learning and Skills Council.
The staff are undertaking the NVQ Level 2 in Footwear Manufacture which is supported by an in-house training prograamme devised by Loake's Production Director Peter Davis.
To support the in-house training, the trainers have received Train the Trainer training from LETG

On October 17th LETG will be holding its prestigious Annual Awards Ceremony to celebrate the successes of business and individuals that have been participating in our Apprenticeships or NVQ programmes.
